This award recognizes the significant effort required to bring the CMS data center from Salt Lake City to its current state-of-the-art facility in Silicon Valley, thereby enabling CSU to use a hybrid cloud platform. Project leader George Mansoor will accept the award on behalf of the numerous CSU staff who contributed to this project.

These three projects are being recognized for their work to bring advanced IT and telecommunications to the fight to contain California wildfires: the WIFIRE, HPWREN, and AlertTahoe. In recognition of their work to develop a system-wide federated identity for students across the 113 California Community Colleges, the California Community Colleges Technology Center has been selected by CENIC as a recipient of the 2017 Innovations in Networking Award.
