Initiatives

CENIC was created by California's K-20 research and education community to ensure they would have the future-facing connectivity needed to maintain California's global research and education leadership position. As part of that mission, CENIC has also engaged in further digital equity efforts to ensure broadband access, availability, and adoption throughout the state.

To these ends, we have participated in the initiatives listed below to extend high-performance networking for global-level research and education, and broadband access, availability, and adoption for K12 schools in un- and underserved areas as well as Tribal and non-Tribal Californians throughout the state.
